The town of Gielde with proposed barge approaching town docks.

The town of Gielde is located in the central part of the Saxon Autonomous Zone on the River Raebigho with a total area of 4.19 km² and a total population of 4,382 inhabitants. It is upriver from the town of Bendumersiel and the nearest settlement to the Faelish enclave of Saunderton. Plans are currently being discussed to place the entire town on a barge in the area in order to avoid the near constant seasonal flooding which occurs.
