early period

seeing this going more like so:

leading up to the phil ii's failed spanish invasion of engalnd, the spains make some very small inroads into what would be valaduria looking for timbers. the shore and valaduria are main targets, as the north is too difficult to settle (infested by all manner of british pirates: english, scottish, irish).

armada happens. later, during the Voyage. Defeated/wrecked anglo ships make their first landfalls of any permanence on the shore. thence the island is recognized as a crucial point for occupation in defense against spain. either as staging ground or just to occupy before spaniards. --chullachaqui 12:50, 1 December 2018 (EST)
